Mission and More
GO:61 is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit. The organization was founded in January of 2014 and has grown each year in team members and in extent of service projects. Over the existing years, primary growth of services has been evident in victim services, outreaches, and community education. We've also witnessed an increase each year in victims self-reporting and in community members and workers from front-line agencies reporting potential victims of trafficking and exploitation. We're grateful to see an increase in community partnerships and church involvement to uphold the mission.

The mission of GO:61 is to bring a future and a hope to people who live in exploited and oppressed situations. Our goal
is to accomplish this by offering the Gospel and relief to people in poverty and oppressive circumstances; providing
prevention services to prevent people in high-risk situations from being exploited and dehumanized; and to provide
intervention, rescue, and restoration services for people who have been victimized and exploited. Due to the nature of
human trafficking, much of our efforts will be focused on finding, rescuing and restoring people caught in
this industry. Our goal is also to educate communities about injustices against vulnerable people and to mobilize the
communities and churches to stand on behalf of oppressed individuals.
GO:61 was named for the Scripture Isaiah 61. We believe God intended us to GO and live out His Scripture so His name may be praised throughout the nations and in the darkest places where people are hidden, bound and oppressed.
GO:61, Inc. is founded upon and committed to Christian values.
We believe that every person is created in the image of God. Therefore, every person is to be treated with dignity and respect.
We believe that we are called to be good stewards of our financial resources. Therefore, through careful management of contributions, and efficient management of expenses, we will focus our resources to better the lives of our clients, and to provide greater education and training for community members and future Christ-based abolitionists.
We believe we are strongest through collaboration. Therefore, we partner with other organizations and law enforcement to strengthen strategies and services available to our clients.
We believe we are called to be life-long learners. Therefore, we will be open to all areas of personal and professional growth that will strengthen our mission statement and better equip us to serve our clients.
We believe the Gospel must be expressed, but not forced. Therefore, we will offer the hope of Christ in a loving and respectful manner, but we will not insist someone adhere to our religious beliefs.
We believe awareness and education for cities and faith-based communities are imperative to making a long-term difference in the fight against human trafficking. Therefore, we will commit to learning and practice effective communication, provide intelligent teaching, and offer solutions for citizens to get involved.
We believe in seeking justice and restoration for people in oppressed circumstances by being humble and courageous. Therefore, we will take the time to pray together; to pursue advanced education and understanding of the industries from which we seek to rescue people, and to serve in dark places when necessary to reach victims with wisdom and courage.
GO 61 is an equal opportunity organization and will not discriminate provision of services on the basis of race, age, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, religious preference or lack of it, gender, or disability.
